This episode features my conversation with Chris Reynolds, AKA CPR. We discuss his experiences attending raves in the 90s/00s, his relationship with dance music, and his current experiences and motivations as a DJ and promoter in Halifax.
CPR is a crate digger, DJ and promoter from Halifax with an ear for leftfield disco, house records and techno. In the past, he’s helmed Indie Dance Night at the Seahorse and Underland Monthly in Hongdae, Soul.
Most recently, Chris has been heard DJing house and techno for Rhythm & Color, Exploria, Milkdown, Nocturnal, and others, as well as presenting his own Big Speaker Freakout and L’Esprit rave series at multiple locations in Halifax featuring a host of the city’s best locals as well as out of town guests like Mike Simonetti, DJ Swisha, MoMA Ready, Raf Rezza.
Chris is also part owner and head brewer at Stillwill Brewing Company.
